Beginning Monday, January 27, 2020, Fort Loudoun Electric Cooperative will no longer sell state electrical permits. This is a result of policy changes made by the state of Tennessee.

Members may visit Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance Permits & Licensing page to purchase electrical permits or they may call #615-741-7170 (7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CST) for more information. Or you may contact one of the following electrical permit issuing agents, as advertised by the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance:

New State Underground Rough In Inspection Requirements

Steps to Take To Purchase Electrical Permits:

  1. Must register as "New User" unless an account is already established with the state of Tennessee.
  2. Once logged in, choose "Permits-Electrical and Residential".
  3. Choose "Standard Electrical".
  4. Answer all the questions and fill out all information that is needed.
  5. Fill in the amount of inspections needed in the boxes.
  6. Fill out the payment information and print application, receipt, and permit.

Be sure to keep all paperwork because it will be needed for scheduling inspection as you need them. The file number is always needed for scheduling.

To schedule an inspections, you will log in and follow the steps by selecting "Request Inspection". You must have the file number to complete this step!
