Billing Information

  • Bills will be issued monthly, and are due on or before the due date.
  • Failure to receive a bill will not release customer from payment obligation.
  • If the due date falls on a weekend or a holiday that is observed by the Cooperative, the next working day will be considered as a day of grace for delivery of payment.
  • If the bill is not paid on time, a 5% penalty will be applied to the net amount.
  • If the bill has not been paid 10 days after the due date, the member’s service may be disconnected.

A confirmation number will appear on your screen once the payment has been processed. Payments will not be processed if you do not click the accept check box and button. If you do not receive a confirmation number, please contact our support prior to attempting to make another payment. Please note that some banks will hold funds for a period up to 10 days if you attempt to make duplicate payments. Fort Loudoun Electric Co-op reserves the right to discontinue this service to anyone who does not follow the terms and conditions of this website or attempts to make a payment with a check and the check is returned due to insufficient funds. You will be charged a convenience fee for using this system. By utilizing our Internet/IVR bill payment system, you agree to the terms and conditions of this website and this disclaimer.

Delinquent / After-Hour Fees

After-Hours Reconnect Times:
  • April - Sept. (No Reconnects after 10:00 p.m.)
  • Oct. - Mar. (No Reconnects after 9:00 p.m.)
Fees may include:
  • Delinquent fee - $10.00
  • Reconnect fee (before 4:30 p.m.) - $50.00
  • Reconnect fee (after 4:30 p.m.) - $150.00

PrePay

Is PrePay the right choice for you? Would making smaller payments more frequently each month be easier for you? If so, you might want to consider signing up for PrePay. 

The PrePay billing option is a convenient way to both monitor and pay for your use of electricity. Think of PrePay the same as you do putting gas in your car - you pay for it before you use it. You can purchase small amounts every few days or "fill up the tank" and not worry about it for several weeks. When your supply is low, you simply purchase more.

Purchasing before you use it allows you to control your budget and pay how much you want, when you want. Instead of a monthly billing statement, your usage and balance are calculated daily. PrePay works best for members wanting to take control of their utility accounts. By monitoring your consumption on a regular basis, you will notice patterns in your daily usage. Any variation from the normal pattern, like house guests (increase) or vacation (decrease) will become evident. Monitoring and controlling daily usage can help keep your utility costs down.
