FLEC Planned Power Outage

Fort Loudoun Electric Cooperative members in the Tellico Plains area could soon be affected by a planned power outage. The outage will begin on Friday, November 12 at 1 a.m. lasting until approximately 5 a.m. FLEC and Service Electric will be performing critical maintenance within the Tellico substation.

Members living in the city limits of the town of Tellico Plains will be without power during this time.  Areas between Tellico Plains and Madisonville will be able to be serviced from other electrical circuit feeds.

Other communities that could be affected by the outage include: Mecca Pike/Reliance, Beatys Chapel, Coker Creek, and Rafter/Turkey Creek.

FLEC will perform switching to keep as many members’ meters energized as possible during this substation upgrade.
