Fort Loudoun Electric Cooperative (FLEC) is a non-profit member owned utility providing electricity to Blount, Loudon, and Monroe Counties. FLEC currently provides service to approximately 35,000 residential, commercial, and industrial consumers.
Our goal is to provide you with the best possible service available. Fort Loudoun Electric Cooperative provides services such as Tennessee Valley Authority's EnergyRight Program, security lights, online payments and services, bank drafts, and surge protection products.
This cooperative is owned by you and people just like you. If you ever have any problems or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact anyone in our office. Should you be interested in any of these programs, contact our office toll free at 1-877-FLEC-ORG (1-877-353-2674) or email us at custserv@flec.org. (Please note this email is not monitored after normal business hours. Please do not report any power outages using this email.)
Fort Loudoun Electric Cooperative’s Board of Directors are elected by our members. Each of the eight directors are elected to serve a three-year term. The directors’ role within the cooperative is to serve as a governing body to establish all policies and procedures for the organization.
The notice of election is mailed to all FLEC members within the billing insert newsletter each May or June. The deadline to qualify for consideration is July 1. Elections are held each summer in August or September. If the current board member up for re-election does not have opposition, FLEC bylaws stipulate an election is not required to be held and the incumbent director is thus elected to serve an additional three years.
If an election is scheduled to be held, each member within that district will receive a postcard notification by mail detailing the election specifics. Districts are rotated where only two or three districts elect directors each year. Contact your cooperative if you have additional questions.
FLEC does not have any employment opportunities available at this time. When a position opens, it will be posted in the local newspapers, here on our website, and on social media.
